Referees Standard Operating Procedure

The following document outlines the roles and responsibilities of all referees.
This SOP is a tool to be resourced by referees and owners alike.
Should there be any recommendations for changes please notify the Delfi, Tyler, and or Britt.

Section 1: Referee Designation

Refs will be split between the Delfi, Shane duo and the Tyler, Britt duo.
Any extra refs will be sent to referee any other hosted games during the tournament.
Referee teams will be a minimum of 3. 2 refs inside the game and 1 watching the streams of those who wanted to stream.
Designated Refs can choose between themselves or have the hosts decide on who will be in game or watching streams.
Hosts will choose a head referee to be the final say for any altercations that arise between teams and/ or players.

Section 2: In game Referees

The 2 In game referees will assign themselves as CODCASTER prior to the start of the match.
The refs will then choose who will spectate which team in order to ensure fair play throughout the tournament.
Once the hosts, Referees and all contestants are within the lobby then the 5-minute timer will begin counting down.
Once the timer has been started then each ref will notify their selected team that the timer has started.
Contestants can opt out of the timer should they chose to start the round sooner.
Once the timer has completed the countdown or opted out of then the refs will notify the hosts.
Once the game has started each ref will spectate their chosen team and ensure loadout compliance in accordance to the 3A Rulebook.
Upon validation of classes each ref will spectate a player until that player has died within the round or they choose to swap players.
Refs will spectate a live player to ensure poor sportsmanship is not brought into the game as toxic behavior.

Section 3: Stream Referee

At a minimum 1 referee will be assigned to watch the streams of all participating contestants.
The stream ref will watch the streams of the games according to the host they are assigned to for the tournament.
The stream ref will utilize multi twitch in order to view all streams, or they will tab up each streamer.
Once all streams are pulled up, the stream ref can listen in on the streams in the event that verbal toxic behavior is a probable event to occur.

Section 4: Referees Purpose

All referees will ensure fair gameplay and proper sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Referees will have quick and easy access to the 3A rulebook in order to have answers for any potential problems.
Referees are to have as much fun as the players even though they are not actively participating and playing the game.
